'JWD' Custom TTJX 60' Finger Rack Flat Car RN 80401

This car is layout ready, custom painted, decaled and weathered 'HO' scale 60' TTJX finger rack flat car, complete with a removable steel rebar load and 12" of tie down chain (JWD - gunmetal). Wearing road number 80401, this car began as a Roundhouse/MDC undecorated flat car kit (stock #1280 - now out of production). Our new finger rack kit (our stock #11412) was added, the original plastic brake staff was replaced with brass rod, the car was then expertly painted using Floquil 'TTX Yellow' and completed with custom TTJX decals developed exclusively for us by Highball Graphics. To finish off the car it was sealed with Floquil 'Flat Finish' and then given our trademark enhanced weathering treatment.

The finger rack kit itself consists of two individual finger racks, nine pieces of U-channel for the deck, a photo etched brass detail sheet, fifteen pieces of basswood to be used as load dividers and a set of TTJX decals with multiple road number combinations.

The rebar set (our stock #11411C) consists of ten wire tied bundles of rebar, each bundle containing twenty individual strands (for a total of 200 pieces of rebar). This particular set is designed specifically for 60' cars but we also have slightly longer sets designed to fit 68' cars, in addition to both resin coated and uncoated versions. We also have heavier steel rod loads available in both the coated and uncoated varieties as well.
